Foster-Adopt Program

Catholic Charities’ foster-adopt program serves families who are interested in adopting children who are in foster care.
Children placed in foster care come from every social, economic, racial, and ethnic background. They may have been abused, neglected, or have special medical and/or emotional needs. But they all share one thing – the need for a home and someone to love and care for them in a safe environment.
Catholic Charities provides families who would like to foster-adopt with support, home assessment, education, case management and an individual matching process.
Children places children in foster-adopt homes when the county is searching for a permanent home. These children vary in age from infants to 18 years old.
Children may be legally free for adoption when they are placed, or it may be a legal risk placement. Legal risk placements occur when birth parent's rights have not been terminated and reunification is still a possibility.
